C. Mobile App & Smart Device Data

  • Presets, schedules, configurations, and lighting states

  • Cloud relay and MQTT connectivity status

This data is used strictly to operate smart-lighting features, maintain device connectivity, and improve reliability.
We do not use this data for advertising.


D. Location Data

The mobile app may request access to your device’s precise location to enable features such as sunrise and sunset automation.

  • Location data is used solely for app functionality.

  • Users may disable location permissions and manually configure schedules instead.

  • Location data is not sold or used for advertising.


E. Microphone / Audio Access

The app may request access to your device’s microphone for the Music Sync feature.

  • Audio data is processed in real time on your device.

  • Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers.

  • Microphone access is optional and can be disabled at any time.


F. Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect:

  • Device type and operating system

  • App interactions (screen views, feature usage, session activity)

  • Crash reports and diagnostic logs

  • Performance metrics

This information helps improve app stability and functionality.


3. Analytics & Diagnostics

We use trusted third-party services including:

  • Google Firebase Authentication

  • Firebase Firestore

  • Firebase Cloud Functions

  • Firebase Analytics

  • Firebase Crashlytics

These services may collect:

  • App interaction data

  • Crash reports

Analytics and crash data are processed by Google on our behalf to improve service performance and reliability.


4. Smart Assistants (Alexa / Google Home)

If you link Bright Home Lights to voice assistants:

  • Commands may be routed through the assistant platform.

  • We receive only the information required to execute your request.

  • Voice recordings are handled by the assistant provider and are not stored by us.

  • Authentication credentials are removed

  • Associated device mappings are deleted

  • Cloud-stored presets and schedules are removed

  • MQTT credentials are revoked

Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe.


10. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for users aged 18 and over.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted.

California residents may request:
